DESIGN NOTES & GUIDANCE
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Considered answers to the questions we are asked most often, from installation and compatibility to materials and care.
Yes. Our marble fixtures offered for the U.S. market are designed to work with standard American residential electrical systems. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician.
Where a product is described as natural marble, the stone is genuine and will display its own veining and tonal variation. These natural differences are expected and make each fixture unique.
Not exactly. The form and finish remain consistent, but marble veining, color concentration and mineral markings naturally vary from piece to piece.
Use a soft dry or lightly damp cloth and avoid acidic, abrasive or chemical cleaners. Natural marble is porous and should be treated gently to preserve its surface.
Many models can be dimmed when paired with a compatible dimmable bulb or LED system and dimmer. Please confirm the specification listed for the individual fixture.
Natural stone can be heavier than conventional shades. The fixture should be secured to an appropriate electrical box or mounting surface by a qualified installer using hardware suited to the wall or ceiling construction.
