Yes. Veluna alabaster fixtures sold for the U.S. market are designed for standard American residential electrical systems. We recommend professional installation for all hardwired pieces.
No — and that is part of its character. Alabaster is a natural stone, so veining, translucency, tone and mineral markings vary subtly from one piece to another. Each fixture is therefore naturally unique.
Alabaster softly diffuses the light through the stone, producing a warm, layered glow rather than a harsh point of light. Variations in the stone become more visible when illuminated.
Use a soft, dry or very lightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, acidic products and chemical sprays, as natural alabaster is more delicate than manufactured surfaces.
Many designs can be dimmed when the bulb or integrated lighting system and the wall dimmer are compatible. Check the specifications of the individual fixture before installation.
The overall design, proportions and finish will match, but natural stone cannot be perfectly replicated from piece to piece. Small differences in pattern and tone are expected and are a hallmark of genuine alabaster.
